Enrollment Process

To enroll your child in Arcata Elementary Preschool

Get on the Waitlist: these families will have first priority for open slots.
 
Wait for a slot to open
    • typically Summer (mid June) or Fall (late August)
    • We will call or email you when a slot is open
    • Set up a time to view the Program
 
After you get a call or email:
Pick up Enrollment packet 
    • Fill out ALL enrollment paperwork
    • Return paperwork to the center
    • Pay Registration Fee ($35)
 
******If you are using Changing Tides or Voucher program:
  • enroll and/or contact that agency.
  • This must be done before we can set up a start date because: 
    • tuition will be private pay until they verify start date
    • A delay in start date could occur
    • OR you could end up losing a slot all together
 
After you packet has been returned:
  • Set up a time to visit the site with your child prior to child's start day.
  • Sign Arcata Preschool Contract and set up start date
  • Pay tuition (due on first day).

***Families on the waiting list will be called when a space becomes available.

Enrolled families typically stay for the entire "school year" (August
to June), while most stay till Kindergarten starts in August/September.
